PS, synopsis:
Part documentary and part autobiographical video project that intertwine between two sites: the artist's home, Taiwan, and the smallest nation in the world, Nauru. The narrative explores the metaphors of island and horizon. The artist uses different characters to embodies different modes of opinions and observations about world politics and domestic lives. Such fragmentation and abstracted connection is central of the video to represent ideas of identity beyond borders and post-colonial Asia. The distance one can observe depends upon the location and height of the observer, the subject. If the center (the author, home) is shifting constantly, then what does that do to the beyond (fiction, fantasy)... Horizon is the line that is drawn between here and there.
